Aly Loves Lacquer

We finally had a day with some sunshine, so I was able to get some pictures of Orly Peachy Parrot for you! Peachy Parrot is a peach colored frost that was recently released in the Birds of a Feather collection by Orly. While it isn't my favorite color ever, it is still a nice polish.

In these pictures I am wearing two coats of Peachy Parrot and 1 coat of Seche Vite.

I'd also like to say that the Birds of a Feather swatches are coming, but it has been so rainy and gray here in St. Louis that I haven't been able to take any pictures for you yet. Trust me, though -- some beautiful colors will be posted soon. Orly knocked it out of the park with this collection!

Hi everyone! I'm currently working my way through swatching all of the Orly Birds of a Feather collection. It was recently released for the Fall season, and has created quite a bit of buzz on NB and in the blogosphere. Lots of people have been looking forward to Fowl Play, and it *is* beautiful, but I think the other colors deserve some attention too.

Today I will be showing off Sweet Peacock, a vibrant blue foil. Sweet Peacock was super easy to apply. The polish was easy to control and very well pigmented. It took just two thin coats to achieve a gorgeous and vibrant look.


So bright! Orly Sweet Peacock just glows on the nail! I loved wearing this color. Remember you can always click on the pictures to get a better close up view.

This week was rush week at SLU, and I was incredibly busy! I am a ZTA and I must say I am loving the new pledges :) One of the shirts we wore this week is a bright blue tank with Zeta Tau Alpha written in neon letters. I decided to do a matching manicure with neon colors.

I am back! I've been having an amazing time since moving back to college. Clearly, I've been pretty busy too, since I haven't posted in a while. But now I am here! I should be back to more regular posting now, and for today I'd like to show you my newest franken. Tempête d'Été, which means summer storm in French, is a bright purple with flakies and glitter.



I think this franken is so much fun! It wasn't too hard to mix up either. Here's what I used:

Wet N Wild Party of Five Glitters
Nubar 2010

So far, this is definitely one of my favorite frankens. That's why I picked it to show to you! I've also got a sage green Spectraflair franken and a teal green Spectraflair franken I'll be showing off soon :)
