Aly Loves Lacquer

Happy Monday everyone! I am happy to report that I only have one more thing to turn in before my finals are officially over! In celebration, I thought it seemed like a good day for glitter :)

Tinsel Town was recently released as part of the China Glaze Holiday 2011 Let It Snow collection. I know a lot of us went crazy about the re-released Snow Globe, but Tinsel Town deserves some attention too. Tinsel Town is a charcoal jelly base with two sizes of silver glitter. It went on sheer but evened out in 2 coats. Though it looks a bit thin in pictures, it was very much opaque at 2 coats in real life.

Today we have animal print, which is one of my favorite manicures to do. I think animal print always looks chic and adorable. This time I chose to use two of my favorite Zoyas: Dove and Petra. Both of these lacquers wear amazingly on me, plus the colors are lovely.

I wore 2 coats of Zoya Dove as a base, and stamped with Zoya Petra and Born Pretty plate m78.

Here's another polish from Orly's recent Birds of a Feather Collection. Sea Gurl is a dark gray metallic polish with lots of shimmer. It's pretty and a bit different from most pewters. The shimmers seem to be multicolored up close, which adds some nice depth to the shade. For some reason, Sea Gurl gave me intense lobster hand syndrome. I had to go in and color correct the pictures because it made my fingers look *so* red. Ick.

Skull & Glossbones was released with OPI's summer Pirates of the Caribbean collection. I only picked up two colors: Skull & Glossbones and Planks a Lot. I am still looking for Mermaid Tears though! OPI Skull & Glossbones is a grey crème with good coverage. It has a definite green tinge to it. I really like the color, and it's very unique to my collection because of that greenish tint. Very cool color.

This is 2 coats OPI Skull & Glossbones and 1 coat Seche Vite.
