ABC Challenge: E is for Essence

10:36:00 PM

Hi, guys! Time for another weekly ABC Challenge post!

Today we have the letter "E." My creativity was not at its greatest, so I settled on using all Essence products to create a manicure. I only own 2 polishes by Essence, and I used both in this polka dot mani. My base color is Oh My Glitter!, a really pretty warm light purple with lots of shimmery flecks, but strangely no glitter. Odd. For the polka dots, I used Essence No More Drama, a very delicate lavender crème.

I had trouble with my polka dots smearing with Seche Vite, and I just broke a nail and had to shorten them all. I have to have them even, but I am so sad they are short :( Those things taken together mean that I am not particularly fond of this mani. Oh well. At least they look okay from afar.

Despite my disappointment with my nail length and the smeared dots, I still liked both Essence polishes. They were both untried, and I am glad I got to use them. I really love Oh My Glitter! because it looks so beautiful in the sunlight.

Do you have any Essence polishes?

P.S. As always, check out the other ladies in the ABC Challenge!

  1. Cute dotticure! I only have one of those double sided polishes but no actual bottles by essence. The brand is not sold in my city so when I go to get some I can never find one of those glitter topcoats I long for.

  2. I love Essence. I really wish that we had access to the LE collections and full lines out here. Both of these are in my untrieds, but Man! I am dying to wear them. I'm really digging them together too! Love it!

  5. The rows of your dots look so even - my hand is not nearly so steady. And purple - you can never go wrong with purple. Looks great.

  12. You picked great colors! Very nice :) Essence has a funny way naming their polishes. Like the Snow Jam collections Lilac Is My Style is nowhere near of being lilac :O
