Aly Loves Lacquer

So, I forgot that I already had posted this color and re-photographed it! However, I think that it is pretty enough to warrant another post :)

Color Club Otherworldly has a very unique type of glitter. The glitter dries matte, instead of resting on top and being shiny. The color is very bright blue that also dries matte. However, when I added Seche Vite, Otherworldly almost becomes jelly looking. Very unique polish!

I definitely consider this polish and the rest of this collection to be odd ducks. Pretty, but a bit odd. However, I was really happy with the overall look when I wore this. I mean, I photographed it TWICE! Haha :)

Hi there, and a special hello to all my new followers! The lovely Traci linked to my blog and I am soooo happy to say that I've reached 400 followers with her help! Thanks so much, girls :)

Today for you I have some sparkly Christmas chevrons. The red is Color Club Santa's Cinnamon, which is your classic jelly red with red glitter -- but this one smells delicious! It smells like real cinnamon candies, you know those ones in the red wrappers? Seriously lovely, Color Club did an awesome job with the scent. On the tips, I used China Glaze Glittering Garland. It's a gorgeous deep emerald with green-gold glass flecks. I freehanded the chevron design, but you could use tape if that would be easier :)

It's day 5 already! This one is Color Club Otherworldly, which was released with the Starry Temptress Collection this summer. This collection consists of all neon glitters, but the glitter has a very unique look to it. The glitter doesn't sit on top of the polish, so it isn't sparkly. It's different, but I like it anyway.

Otherworldly covers well in 2 coats. Once I added Seche Vite, it really looked super shiny and gorgeous in the sun.

Color Club Revvvolution is amazing! It's the first holographic polish I've tried, and I love it. Plus it has an adorable name :) I don't want to take it off! The application was quite easy, especially considering holo polishes can be difficult to apply. It took only one coat for full coverage, which is pretty awesome. I'm not wearing any top coat today, since that can diminish the holographic effect.

Sadly, I didn't catch any pictures of this baby outside. I'll try to get some tomorrow, because you guys need to see how great this holo looks in the sunshine. Still, it looks great in these indoor pictures too. Color Club Revvvolution is a winner.

OPI Conquistadorable Color was released in the Spain Collection, one of my favorite OPI collections. Lots of colors from that collection are still very popular, like Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow, Can You Tapas This?, No Spain No Gain, and Pamplona Purple. Conquistadorable Color is a blue-toned red. It's actually my favorite red crème. It applies beautifully and it goes well with my skin tone.

Color Club Covered in Diamonds has popped up pretty frequently in the blogosphere. After finally trying it, I can see why. Though the application is finicky, the payoff is worth it. I had to use two coats of Seche Vite on top in order to get rid of any roughness caused by the flakies. This polish is gorgeous! I am sure I will be wearing it over plenty of bright crèmes this summer.


The pictures are 2 coats OPI Conquistadorable Color, 1 coat Covered in Diamonds by Color Club, and 2 coats of Seche Vite.
