Aly Loves Lacquer

A while ago I bought most of the Ice Baby glitters by Wet N Wild. I had planned to swatch them all sequentially, but I got distracted. Now a few months later, take a look at Cost Is No Issue!

Cost Is No Issue is a very pretty mix of turquoise microglitter and larger blue hex glitter. It is also very, very close to Nails Inc. Fitzroy Square. Now, I am all for saving money on bargain nail polish, so that makes me a happy girl :) The application was AWESOME. Glitter can be finicky, but I was able to reach full opacity with just 2 easy coats.

It's Day 2 and that means it's time for orange. I don't have much orange at all, so I decided to pick the first one that came to mind. This is Orly Orange Sorbet, which is a nice jelly orange with golden shimmer. I decided to stamp some butterflies from Bundle Monster 78 with Wet N Wild Sunny Side Up.

Orange Sorbet needed 3 coats to be opaque. Sunny Side Up was pretty hard to see in the pictures, but in real life it was much more visible.

Here is another beautiful glitter from the Ice Baby collection by Wet N Wild. Rockin' Rubies is a vibrant red with some larger pinkish glitter particles. It has a similar composition and application to the other glitters you've seen reviewed here, It's All in the Cut and Believe Me, It's Real. It was two coats for complete opacity and a thick coat of Seche Vite on top to smooth it all out.

Here's another beautiful glitter from the limited edition Ice Baby collection by Wet N Wild. So far, I am really loving these! Believe Me, It's Real is pretty much an exact dupe to Nails Inc Connaught Square. That makes me very happy because it is much cheaper and, since Wet N Wild is .34 fl oz and Nails Inc is .33 fl oz, you get the a bit more polish for your money.

Believe Me, It's Real has the same composition as It's All in the Cut -- tiny glitters and some bigger hex glitters in a clear base. In Believe Me, It's real we have lots of tiny royal blue glitter and larger purple hexes. Application was also exactly the same. A little thick, but opaque in two coats. Thirsty, but smooth with two coats of Seche Vite.

I spotted the Wet N Wild Ice Baby glitters at my local Walgreens today! They are even more beautiful in person than I expected. I picked up a few, and wanted to show one off right away. I think It's All in the Cut is very unique! It is a clear base with tons of tiny lavender glitter and larger peach hex glitter. It's an interesting and beautiful combination.

Application was pretty good. The polish is quite thick, so I had a little trouble but it wasn't terrible. It only took two coats to be opaque. I'm pretty impressed by that! This was a bit of a thirsty glitter, so I topped it off with two coats of Seche Vite to make sure it wasn't gritty.

This glitter polish, Wet N Wild Party of Five Glitters is part of their fastdry line. It is considered a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday. Since the Lippmann is so expensive, I went for this one instead. There isn't much to say about application; it was just fine. I used two coats for a more dense glittery look.
